LARA Required Implicit Bias Training: For Initial Licensure and License Renewal

LARA requires online Michigan Implicit bias training. This 3-hour interactive “Implicit Bias” workshop meets the requirements from the Michigan Bureau of Professional Licensing for health care professionals. This training is now required for initial licensure and license renewal. Our workshop covers all of the requirements just added to the Public Health Code-General Rules R 338.7704 standards.

This 3-hour meeting the LARA requirements and includes:

• LARA Mandated Pre and Post Tests

• Definitions and Examples of Implicit or Unconscious Bias

• Overview of What Causes Bias

• Overview of Why Bias Matters in Our Work

• Strategies for Reducing the Impact of Our Biases
